Ok, it's a new school year

It's a new school year!  Yay!  With that being said, I am, for the third year in a row, a Substitute teacher.  Last year went REALLY freaking well.  I met a lot of wonderful students, teachers, and staff.   I really hope I get the same opportunities this year.  In fact I've already started reaching out to some of the teachers who requested me over and over again last year.   My next step is to let the attendance and/or substitute secretaries at my schools know I'm still around and want to sub in their schools.
This past summer I spent my second year as a summer school teacher here in Portland.  I got to teach Government (yay!), and I had the most wonderful EA helping me out.    It was enlightening, stressful, and most of all great.   Even on the worst days I still enjoyed the day (mostly).   I also got to go out and adventure in our lovely city and the surrounding woods.   That part wasn't with the students, but is worth noting due to its de-stressing effects.

As much as I enjoyed the summer, I did neglect the class I was supposed to be taking on Writing, the Social Studies and the CCSS.  Lucky for me I have a year to complete it.  This month while substituting is slow that's my plan, school work.  In order to help me complete the class in a timely manner I'll be posting assignments publicly and sending the links to my instructor.
As a side note, those will be edited for basic grammar and completeness.  Everything else is up in the air.   I may or may not take the time to edit beyond one or two read throughs.   Have I mentioned that I really don't like editing?
